DESCRIPTION: Reiter Engineering brought one of the most distinctive SP-X entries to the 2026 Nürburgring 24 Hours with the #66 KTM X-BOW GTX. While the front of the field was dominated by GT3 machinery, the Reiter project had a different purpose: developing and proving a lightweight, highly specialised race car on the most demanding endurance circuit in the world. Driven by Miklas Born, Arne Hoffmeister, Laurents Hörr and Marcel Marchewicz, the #66 KTM X-BOW GTX represented Reiter Engineering’s return to the Green Hell with a clear technical focus. The SP-X class gave the team the space to run a modified development car outside the limits of traditional GT categories, making this entry more than a normal race programme. The car showed strong pace for its concept, recording a best lap of 8:31.491 and an average speed of 146.628 kph. After 42 laps, the #66 KTM X-BOW GTX did not reach the classified finish, but the project still carried real value. At the Nürburgring 24 Hours, especially for development cars, every lap produces data, stress-tests the concept and exposes weaknesses that cannot be found anywhere else.
